After learning that seahorses are on the brink of extinction within the next 20-30 years, I made this large wall piece. I decided to learn some more about this intriguing species. The more I read, the more I think I found my theme for this artist residency.

I made 2 pieces as I reacquainted my hands and brain with working with clay after a year and a half. After spending quite some time trying to figure out a type of sail I would do for sailing boats, I decided to just put my hands in clay and work without expectations of outcomes.
